July's IAU-H1 Colloquium was truly impressive and insightful.
Please note that the first two slides โ the title and outline โ are missing from the recording, but this does not affect the scientific content or your overall enjoyment. Thank James.

In the month+ since Jeff Bezos announced the WaPo editorial page would be advocating for โpersonal liberties and free markets,โ there have been troubling resignations, at least one (Ann Telnaes) b/c of being silenced. But as of today, no real signs of substantive change.

Paper of the day #2 for me is by Kiyan Tavangar and @adrian.pw, who made a really nice way to model the structure of stellar streams, demonstrated on GD-1. #milkyway
The membership that they get out looks really good! arxiv.org/abs/2502.13236
