This might be the worst ICE video yet, because it’s literally random dudes hanging around, and then a bunch of heavily armed thugs running them down completely out of nowhere, because they’re brown. It’s a nightmare that would have seemed excessive in Jim Crow. Everyone in America should see this.

We’re not dealing with brilliant strategists cleverly laying traps, we’re dealing with impulsive whiners whose advantage is contempt for laws, norms, and morality.

They’re not pulling some elaborate trick, they’re just willing—even eager—to do things regular, principled people consider off limits.

I like the proposal and agree with almost all of it, but I'd strongly, strongly recommend not to use the word "confederacy" to describe such a strategy or its stronger form. These traitors are the ones abandoning the Constitution and American values, not us, and whatever we do is more legitimate.

You'd win in the moment, and then they'd devote wholly disproportionate resources to tracking you down and charging you with federal crimes for "impersonating a federal officer." It's much safer to do what those Chicago heroes did and just mock, jeer, and yell at these assholes until they turn tail.
