As an aside my rage at this worldview makes me not even want to think or speak in English. I know French but since I'm LATAM focused with 1 year of Spanish under my belt I'm like I'm just going to use SPANGLISH and this makes me giggle every time I think of it.

I've seen these reports of actions to try to prohibit name changes for trans kids and if I'm right even trans adults, and it sickens me. Like I always learned that at common law anyone can just change their name by using it. It's our NAME. Are they going to keep lists of F / M names now? TAF

I read in @Emily-hart.blsky.social 's substack that the Colombian National Registry will now recognise ‘non-binary’ and ‘trans’ for civil registries and identity cards. I haven't seen the law yet (can I still choose "M?") but it may help me when the US marks me "F" when my passport expires.

As an attorney I haven't had many, although when my daughter was small and found out she screamed, You're an ATTORNEY?!?!!? Followed by, "What's an attorney?" But I've only been writing for about two years and consistently get asked about using AI which is so horrifying.

It's so cool when they moved there years ago there had been none for forever. They did some stuff to release water from the dam upstream and clean up trash and it has been a big success story. The most this year I've seen!

I worry. I'm sort of hidden at my job (don't deal with the public and my name isn't on anything.) But a few months ago I got anti trans mail at my employment, which would have required a bit of research to learn I was trans and where I worked.

Mine was really nice. My mom (94) actually flew down with two of my sisters. We always have two in a row on Friday my first wife and my stepson and his family all join, and my stepdaughter from my current marriage joined. We saw salmon spawning. It was the first one since my daughter died I was OK.

This was a good read. I'm hoping to retire soon and travel as much as I can. I've done domestic solo a lot but a little nervous for LATAM with my small Spanish so far. I appreciated the framework especially the idea of all the life experience being good for problem solving!
