A haiku comic called Early November with a full color large drawing of Palmer Cemetery in Philadelphia overlaid with 3 panels featuring line drawings. Panel 1 is a rotting jack-o-lantern. Panel 2 is a dead tree with eyeball ornaments hanging on it. Panel 3 is a creepy owl sculpture in window box. The hand lettered text reads: fake spider webs float/dead leaves on the ground/winter creeps closer.

I made a thing. After months and months of not making anything.

I'm angry and also worried. The 9:00 PM "curfew"/shut down that starts Jan 1 is going to be very bad for very many people.

Why You Should Still Build Your Raft of Art in the Sea of Slop A little cri du coeur about working on your work and avoiding all the noise

I've been thinking a lot about what I want to make and what I don't want to make anymore and why and feeling a bit what's the point of any of it. This post by @thelincoln.bsky.social was a little life raft for me: open.substack.com/pub/counterc...

Something similar happened to me at a party several years ago. I was asked what I did and I replied, I’m a copywriter. And the person thought I was an IP lawyer who dealt with copyright issues. This was at a party in NYC, so there was really no excuse for it.

A poster for the economic blackout on February 28. It is a big red Jack rabbit on an aqua blue back ground. It says economic blackout in hand done black type. There are two black speech bubbles. One says β€œdon’t buy stuff Friday February 28th. The other says we have power. Below it says No Amazon, Walmart, target, gas food, gas. Below that it says OK small business, use cash. I made this the other night while procrastinating, mainly because I thought all the posts about the blackout were boring. It feels like there is momentum bringing people together!
