I assure you they are. But as for what you really mean, I think in that role they would resemble more a land mine with aspirations than a proper "dive bomber" as you said.

I think they've been built, it's just the economy is slowing down, or isnt growing fast enough, and they need to find something, anything, to fill these warehouses.

i can see a couple niche urban use cases but i just dont see people paying double for a burrito or grinder that arrives, at best, 5 minutes before the one on a motor bike.

its a remarkably resilent way to fly an object. the other day i sort of crashed a little one. i sent it back up without noticing one of the motor arms had bent and partially collapsed. other than sounding weird, the control system adapted, hovering perfectly despite having a rotor bent off its axis

there are a number of varients, but just goancing at some photos im seeing control surfaces surely driven by servo motors with the requeset linkages, little gears, ect.

the quads are literally just rotors and motors, using pure differential thrust with no aerodynamic surfaces whatsoever

probably a bit of simplicity to go with it. other than the bomb dropper and the camera gimble, these things have about 6 moving parts, the rest is solid state
