i can see a couple niche urban use cases but i just dont see people paying double for a burrito or grinder that arrives, at best, 5 minutes before the one on a motor bike.

its a remarkably resilent way to fly an object. the other day i sort of crashed a little one. i sent it back up without noticing one of the motor arms had bent and partially collapsed. other than sounding weird, the control system adapted, hovering perfectly despite having a rotor bent off its axis

there are a number of varients, but just goancing at some photos im seeing control surfaces surely driven by servo motors with the requeset linkages, little gears, ect.

the quads are literally just rotors and motors, using pure differential thrust with no aerodynamic surfaces whatsoever

probably a bit of simplicity to go with it. other than the bomb dropper and the camera gimble, these things have about 6 moving parts, the rest is solid state

this era of history is fascinating as you get this mix of old and new, which i suppose is always true but more pronounced. there is a picture i cant find of a polished chrome naval gun, hydraulically operated, from about 1905. next to rack of cutlasses, in case they were boarded by pirates, i guess

I've got my theories on what's really going on. But no, if I concentrate really hard and I'm about to fall asleep, sometimes(more often not) an object appears. I suspect it's more than 4% because most people never actually visualize anything so they don't understand the difference. Or maybe it's me?

i suspect its a failure of communication. like i can imagine seeing an apple, but only with effort and concentration can i shut my eyes and actually see one. more often than not i cant make it appear
