YT fully nails the brief on this 2005 record about the suicide bombings in London earlier that year 🎯💯

Lots of reggae/dancehall artists have excelled at political and topical songs over the years, but in recent times these feel very thin on the ground, despite there being plenty to protest about 🗣️🪧

As much as I love to hear artists addressing important issues, I have also occasionally felt like this when I hear music with a message 💭

It takes a special talent to write a song like this that is also catchy and musically moving ✨🎶

Where is the protest music in dancehall and reggae? 🤔

I remember as a kid often hearing that political or socially conscious music was too worthy, boring, not fun, or variations on this theme 😒

I swear any tune with “oh na na” lyrics is an anthem 💯
