Love the clogs too. 😍
Yes, 1907, and we have the master key (the individual door keys are gone) so we can still lock them all, though don't!
09.11.2025 18:11 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0This is frustrating & Dr J is deluded if he thinks there is only a bit of criticism from tchrs. The "curriculum cohesion" he's rspnsible for is clearly not as well done as our existing y9-10 . He also says tchrs are worried about the pace of change. No shit Sherlock, where's the $ to spprt them?

I asked the nurse if I needed it cos I'd caught rubella when I was 2 weeks old, I got out of having the jab! She told me I would need to check my immunity before getting pregnant, I even remembered to follow her advice 20+ yrs later!

That's probably correct, the current maths curriculum teaches the maths they will generally need in science the following year. It was all written to support that progression across the subjects.

A clarion alarm for all wary of this govt’s actions👇

21.10.2025 06:07 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0New Zealand First leader Winston Peters is promising his party's proposed $100 billion 'future fund' will not be paid for with asset sales, but may involve cutting taxes for offshore investors.
Labour Future Fund and NZ First Fund are very different - Winston's version was about cutting taxes for offshore investors and bringing more foreign capital in.
Labour's is based on NZ capital, generating returns for Kiwis and protecting asset - I'm surprised no media has picked it up

Hi Judith Collins
You are a big fat liar
Signed: New Zealanders
plot of Govt GDP per capita vs Govt spend per capita. Quote from Judith's letter reads: 'Only by NZ becoming wealthier can we afford to spend more'
Damn, I read Judith's letter! I'll leave the politics to others, but, lord, the Govt spending stuff is REALLY BAD! I'll try and keep this short.
First up, this bare-faced lie. The countries in the pink circle have a similar-sized economy to NZ. Govt spending is a lot higher in all but one . [🧵 1/n]
And it gets more difficult to actually teach, and it's undoubtedly due to poverty, under investment in mental health, lack of support for families, domestic violence, insecure housing situations. It all shows up in our classrooms & we have fewer & fewer resources to spread around.
18.10.2025 20:59 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I love how she brings up teachers' pay at 100k to make it look huge. However, in 1985 the maximum teacher salary was $34156. Using the RBNZ's inflation calculator, NZD $34,156 in 1985 would be worth approximately $187,000 to $201,000 in 2025. Our max now is $103k. We've been taking a hit for 40yrs!
