Why do I never learn my lesson about flying American Airlines. lol, never again, and I mean it this time.

It can be hard to balance writing with the time required to build community around that writing. But, I have set a goal, I want to accumulate 3,000 peeps to share my words with. The question is, which platform? Where am I most likely to find an audience for fantasy writing on n short and long form?

I used to write stories and on a site called theprose.com. Looks to still be around. I’ll never forget someone gave me some kind of points because they liked my story. It equated to something like $0.035 in real dollars. From that day on, I was a paid writer, just not a well paid writer, lol.

Don’t know what this says about me, but on my way to work I imagined a giant severed hand with some of the forearm (all together approximately two city buses or 131.2 average bananas in length) falling from the sky and smashing a lovely little house next to me. I am a sucker for great story telling and Wicked, in my opinion, is great story telling… Oh, and happiest of new years and such.

It’s relatively farfetched, and I’m not talking the Pokémon. But, what if certain individuals have “Handlers” who send in plants to generate specific interactions to assuage doubts and reinforce an alternative version of reality for the person in question? It would make for a great fiction story.

Two words. I wrote two words on my WIP yesterday. I did a lot of other things too, but not a lot of writing. I like them two words, they fit the sentence very well and I’m not sure if I would have found those two words on any other day. So perhaps, yesterday was just meant to be a two word day.

Based on the timestamp, he should be a bit over half way through that writing right now. I hope it’s good stuff.

40 minutes, that’s what I was able to squeeze out of yesterday for writing. I could have done more, but I didn’t, and that’s ok… right? Of course it is, it has to be. I will do more today, maybe.

But if you’re here and you would like buy a book… TOO BAD, I ain’t finished and don’t know if I ever will. But I’ll like a goat shaped pancake every day of the week, twice if I’m really having a day.

Oh sweet, I check some of those boxes.

I hope everyone had a good holiday break in the US, or just a good last week anywhere else. I’m looking for a new book to read, a magical fantasy or science fiction. What would you recommend?

I may not be a millionaire but I am an imaginaire, with no shortage on ideas. Which is better than a money because there ain’t no taxes they can charge on that… yet. More ideas less problems.

I need a good writing session, the kind where you have an idea and execute on that idea so well that you are a bit mentally exhausted after and feel a small swell of pride, followed by the uncertainty of whether you can replicate such quality ever again… But you still try each time.

Yeah, but imagine the day you do intend to type “ducking” and autocorrect saves you. That will be a ducking glorious day.

Same, I’ve even gone so far as to not even finish or publish the novel, helps me tremendously when avoiding the Goodreads page about it.
