Funny that of the 3 homicides in Minneapolis so far this year, 2 were committed by 🧊. But yeah, crime is down.

Tonight I caucused (is that a word?) for the first time in my life. I so enjoyed meeting more of my neighbors and being part of the process. Cannot wait to be a delegate in April. When I left the caucus all I could think was how proud my mother would have been of me.

Cried when I learned the news she was being released. Our school will be overjoyed to know she is coming home.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.

Thank you so much for bringing him home. Everyone in Columbia Heights is so happy to have him back. You are what a true leader looks like. Keep up the great work.

Judge Biery signed the order with a photo of Liam and two bible verses: The first is "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." The second is simply "Jesus wept."

Astonishing thing for a judge to do.
