This could veer into the other controversy. Eastern BBQ which is mainly pork based, and TX where brisket is king. Maybe we should talk about something less incendiary: Windows vs. Mac ;)

Texas is the same way. Everyone thinks we're a bunch of redneck cowboys. Though you will get in fights over chili (no beans) or BBQ sauce (tomato based, not vinegar).

Trump seems to think science can be nullified by executive fiat. Science doesn't work that way. In that case, science says you need oxygen to breathe. I say billionaires don't. Let's test it and see who's right.

A friend around 40 years ago got the writer's guidelines for Harlequin (main stream) and it was very formulaic. This must happen by page x, this by page Y, etc. I know there used to be a problem with editors wanting to remove historical detail in the Hist Rom line. No idea what it is now.

It's concerning that even medevac flights are grounded. I suspect there's about to be a major drone/aircraft incursion into Mexico along the border.

We had a professor in another department who was accused of plagiarism. What did the Univ do? Changed the rules. Students are guilty if they even do it accidentally, but you have to prove faculty INTENDED to plagiarize. It helped that her department head was her husband.

When I worked for the Texas Forest Service a professor in the Forest Science Dept married his grad student. Even if it was a totally consensual relationship, I still find that inappropriate because of his position over her. And yet, there was no rule against it.

He was once married to Lalla Ward, Romana from Dr. Who. She did some of the illustrations for his books. So that's in his favor :) Sadly, though, he's always come off as the "asshole atheist" stereotype. When people are rude, snide, and condescending it hurts their arguments.

These are the same people who complain about Star Trek being Woke now.

I knew a Witch who worked at the Houston Medical Center, and he'd put spells on research proposals before the scientists sent them off.

She should have a good case, especially since A&M ignored all the official policies regarding faculty procedures.

Great film. I own it also. I rather like the animated version with Angeline Jolie too. Interesting change in the story, which I like. I don't understand drawing so many people naked, and then having their naughty bits hidden by objects. Why draw them naked then?
