This will prove to be very interesting.
Anywho, not fighting with people on social media really does help your skin and a side effect is that you have more mental and spiritual space to devote to actual action.

We showered together and shat together.
Showers and toilets were out in the open on the yard.
Toilets were next to our bunks in our cells.
We grew accustomed to it.
My relationship to nudity following prison has a lot to do with desensitization.
We were strip searched at arrest.
We were strip searched at work every day.
We were strip searched at every visit.
We were strip searched when they searched our cells.
...Hahn brings his lived experience to this episode, talking about his time inside and his rehabilitation and road to recovery. The episode takes a turn when we discover what led Matt to this prison term – and how he got out early.”

We might be better at presenting counter-narratives than paid, professional journalists, but we, too, fall into the trap of hyper-fixation.

Don't fall for this trick. Los Angeles isn't burning.
In Buddhist thought, there is something called 'vedana', which is the hedonic tone of any particular sensation or experience, ranging from pleasant to neutral to unpleasant. The mind tends to fixate on unpleasant and then pleasant, while ignoring neutral. The bulk of experience is neutral.

When I see images of Los Angeles, I try to remember that none of the uninteresting stuff is being shown to me.
So many people get angry about property destruction yet remain silent about ripping families apart. Silent about dead children. Silent about victims of police brutality.
Perhaps, if folks held humans in higher regard, others wouldn't have to destroy property to get their attention.
