To be honest, I am a bit biased :) Tregs were the first scientific topic I was working on as an immunology student 🧑‍🎓 and I was totally fascinated by those cells and their ability to shut down overarching immune responses…

… and the Nobel Prize goes to … three amazing immunologists: Mary E. Brunkow, Fred Ramsdell, and Shimon Sakaguchi for research on immune tolerance. I was lucky enough to hear Dr Sakaguchi’s talk recently at IUIS in Vienna and it was amazing! Tregs rock 🥳 🤘🏻!

This has been a good year so far! One PhD thesis submitted and one student finished today with distinction 🥳 ! Congrats Stefan! I am really proud 🥹!

You are kidding me 🤯 reloading one of the biggest frauds in scientific history! Several scientists have shown that there is no connection, so why roll it up again? Money going the wrong direction… we have plenty of unsolved health problems on earth to tackle!

While working on a research topic you always think it is the coolest thing on earth, but when an expert in the field is enjoying reading your paper and likes the study it doesn't get any better 🥳

We found that HIF-1 controls LOX secretion in mechanosensitive fibroblasts, possibly fueling this chronic inflammatory skin disease. Thanks to Parvaneh, Pauline and David and all the other coauthors for their help!
