It’s not totally clear to me what’s happening, but the suspicion is that law enforcement has essentially made a deal with ICE - they’ve accepted Homan’s blackmail offer. The problem is that this is how you end up doing 2020 again. It would be extremely foolish. Law enforcement needs to stay out.

These suspicions are not just coming from protesters. A number of local politicians and leaders - by no means all from the left - are also concerned about this development. Again, I really can’t overemphasize how destabilizing it would be for this agencies to throw in with the federal terror squad.

GenAI has really crystalized for me how art is not pictures or sounds but rather a medium for human expression, for taking some part of the human experience (often an emotion) and bottling it up on a page or film or recording, for others to experience.
