Not quite. Accelerationism has been coined since at least the '90s and probably before, and has referred to both left and right wing (at least using conventional political definitions) movements.

I saw this in the DA forums often enough, that I regularly wielded a ban hammer for particularly stupid threads where people wanted to create whole new crises out of sidebars that were themselves fairly incoherent.

I was often accused of being 'mean' for not tolerating endless stirring of turds.

I didn't even realize Singal was still a thing (either I thought he was blocked or I blocked him ages ago and hadn't heard a peep), so thank you for giving me something to grasp with because I found the whole comment stream utterly confounding.

A thing that has confounded me since Usenet, is that sidebar conversations stated in the open are often confounding to the broader community of people, and when they don't just magically know what it's about, and when seeking understanding, randos will just brow beat them, expecting them to "know"
