Maybe being a SAHM has made me mad about stuff I never cared about but I menu plan, shop (multiple stores for sales), pack lunch, cook dinners every night, feed a toddler minimally processed snacks constantly, keep a pantry stocked and a kitchen almost clean and that's a lot of stuff to do.

I feel like the constant cooking discourse on here could be a better discourse about cooking and shopping as feminized labor not being seen as a skill but people on here are too wacky to even think about that.

Sitting waiting for a table in a red sauce Italian restaurant on the Jersey shore and three older ladies in white capris sat on the bench next to ours and started talking about Gaza and how atrocious things are and about how the bill criminalizing homelessness and I'm shocked.

Hi Lidl shoppers, you do not get to use all the little kid carts instead of using a basket *and* be annoyed at my kid who will not sit in the cart and wants to run around because pushing one of these carts that are intended for children would have distracted her from such mischief.

So I cook for leftovers so I can have whatever I had for dinner for lunch but I think of meal prep as spending time to get a bunch of components ready to cook for a few days. I mean I don't actually do it but I think that's what it is.
