This is my understanding as well - I had a well-scored R01 scheduled to go to council in Jan 2025 and last communication from AHRQ was sending links to other available funding sources...

My understanding from NIH reporter is that they have not issued ANY new awards since Jan 1, 2025.

Parent and pediatrician here.

All vaccines are still available & recommended. Talk to your pediatrician for more info.

Know this: Even as our government shifts its recommendation language, I would never forgo the RSV, hepatitis A & B, or meningitis vaccines for my own kids.

Are you in the bean club? Cooked the black garbanzos today but haven’t decided what to do with them yet. Suggestions welcome. (47 backup pounds of beans available if these are a flop πŸ˜‚)

I think the bottom rack has the slanted thing going on. If you could look at it in store first, highly recommend doing that. (Otherwise it’s been fine although it’s always yelling at me about something.)

We had a Bosch dishwasher original to our 2005 house we replaced this year when there was a leak (still working). Got a Miele and the bottom rack having all the slanted wires is irritating to me - we have a lot of awkwardly shaped dishes and so we’re always trying to figure out how to jam things in

Figured I’d hop on here today for the 15th anniversary of the Affordable Care Act.

With everything going on right now, it’s easy to feel like regular folks can’t make a difference – but the ACA is a reminder that change is possible when we fight for progress.

New Urban Institute estimates of mandatory #Medicaid work requirements. At least 4.6-5.2 milion people would lose Medicaid coverage but would be significantly higher if work requirements apply beyond Medicaid expansion, some exemptions aren't automatically provided: www.urban.org/research/pub...

Highly recommend trying to find series books - my daughter would then reread from the beginning, giving me a month to find something else. She loved ivy and bean and Judy moody, didn’t like fantasy. We went to public library and asked for recs - very hit or miss on what she liked.

PRAMS Surveillance project of CDC and health departments used to improve maternal and infant health.

For 38 years, PRAMS has collected critical data on maternal-child health with the goal to reduce infant morbidity and mortality. CDC has officially halted the 2024 PRAMS data collection for the participating 46 states and the future is uncertain.

This brought back flashback of how one of the committee members (seemingly unknowingly to them) got control of my slides during my dissertation defense w/ several remote, plus like 25 ppl in person. Oops. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

RFK Jr.: Medicaid is not working.

Fact check: 83% of Medicaid enrollees rate the overall performance of Medicaid positively, and Medicaid enrollees report fewer cost-related problems relative to those with Marketplace coverage and ESI.
