Naturally, with this visual novel centering around the members of V.W.P., music factors heavily into this game and its story, featuring dozens of vocal songs from V.W.P., its members, and other associated acts who also appear in the game's story as characters as well.

Furthermore, REGENERATE features gameplay beyond the standard "read and select choices" particular to VNs, including segments where you can investigate locations, the ability to choose where to go next on maps, and possibly more...

Each route has its own unique genre and theme, exploring different aspects of Kamitsubaki City and its inhabitants. There are many endings to be found, both good and bad alike, and split-second thinking can make all the difference in determining whether you live or die.

In this story, you play as a protagonist who works together with five individuals to solve the mysteries shrouding Kamitsubaki City and protect it from those that would threaten its safety, working together to protect the world from impending doom.

However, Kamitsubaki's troubles are far from over, for there are many bizarre mysteries that beguile the city and its residents, including stories of mysterious disappearances, murders, ghosts sightings, and so on, attracting so much attention that some are dedicated to solving these mysteries.

Seven years have passed, and the city has managed to rebuild to a sustainable level thanks to developing a radiation shield to keep the radiation out. The city was designed to be self-sustainable, and is divided into multiple district, each with their own part in maintaining the city.

REGENERATE's story takes place on an Earth devastated in 2018 by a global disaster known as the Blackout, where unnatural solar activity bathed the Earth in immense cosmic radiation. Kamitsubaki City, a fictional city in an alternate Japan, is one such city impacted, resulted in the deaths of many.

That being said, REGENERATE is completely stand-alone, meaning you will not need to have played any of these other games or series to enjoy this.
