Fellow BCS speakers...are you familiar with the work papundak/papundek? My dad used it as an endearment that he said meant "little child" but the only ref I can find online is a TV character played by a Croatian actor??

Brightly coloured poster for animated film nova seed. A slim green figure floats inside a tank covered in pipes and tubes, masked figures bearing weapons climb the tank towards a lion like character who stands at the top. Looming overhead is a large sinister figure with a skull head, his hands clawed above the smaller figures.
Watched Nova seed on prime the other day and loved it, always cool to be reminded that things don't have to be super polished or use the most cutting edge tech to tell an engaging story. Also loved that all the sound effects were just like...someone vocalising. Lol

This whole deal where we have ordinary people desperately calculating their carbon footprint before considering the most trivial action while the wealthy do nothing at all is the most monumental scam and con job. Absolutely intolerable.

I actually had one of these in the 2000s, it was a top/bustier hybrid that was popular for a while, the pointy bit was to make it look more bustier-lile and mine also had shitty boning that did nothing structurally.

I hope to raise my kids to be ambitiousβnot to think about war, missiles, rockets. Every day, I see a fear in their eyes that I canβt do much about. Itβs very painful. If you have kids, you know how horrible it is not to be able to comfort them, to ensure they are alright, to make them hope for anything beyond living one more day. We want to live freely like other peopleβto grow scientifically and economically, to walk in the street without fearing bombardments, to make plans. We want to be able to learn, think, grow, travel, dreamβto feel like we are really human. Not to think only about meeting our basic needs. This is what life has always been about for us, and nowβI want the world to knowβwe are being eradicated en masse. This is not what life should look like.
Two weeks ago, Jewish Currents interviewed three doctors in Gaza to show the world the direness of their situation. The story was just updated to reflect one of the doctors was killed by an airstrike in his own home, making this quote even more gutting. jewishcurrents.org/we-have-lost...
