Before Acetone

Risked it on AliExpress as the required CPLD to build a Terrible fire TF536 are discontinued and seriously hard to find. Acetone turned the cotton buds slightly black, but cleaning it back up with IPA, the markings were still there. Guess I'll need to try and program one! #amiga #retrocomputing

Bagged a bargain recently. Ocean Software 'The Dream Team' bundle (Terminator 2, Bart vs Space Mutants and Wrestle mania) and Deluxe Paint III for my Amiga, and also Dragon - Bruce Lee Story for my Atari Jaguar... All for just £10!

Fun weekend so far...
Good: Moved all of my domains to @cloudflare.social from a self-hosted DNS setup on Hetzner Cloud (which has been running for 9 years without any issues). Loving the new analytics from it & the API is a breeze to utilise.
Bad: Partners car went boom... So we're down to 1 car

I fixed with Octopus for 12 months last July, looking at projections now is absolutely scary! But in all honesty, I don't see any benefit me terminating my current deal to get another currently. Yet I bet supplier profits are still increasing at an exponential rate!

No it just cleans them up, these had no yellowing to begin with. I know some variations of later Model M keyboards suffer a bit with yellowing especially on the space bar, but these were fine. I've done an Amiga A500 which was really bad, used sodium percarbonate on that with really good results!

3/3: I did the same with my F/AT, and any other which I've cleaned/restored thus far. The fairy liquid leaves a nice egg-shell feel to the keys too.

2/3: Gently clean the barrel plate with damp (not dripping wet) soapy cotton pads, then dry with another pad. Clean the controller PCB with isopropyl alcohol and cotton bud. Finally, the case: warm soapy water clean with a microfiber, then a touch of Meguiars detailing spray to polish it up.

1/3: The M Enhanced was already pretty clean, but the M122 needed attention. I stripped it down without needing to split the barrel plate. Keycaps washed in hot soapy water (Fairy washing up liquid), let them soak for a few hours/overnight then rinse and dry with a microfiber cloth.

Difference in sound between my 1988 Model M keyboards: 1390131 AT Enhanced, and 1390886 Type 2 M122. Stabilisers on both are lubed, the difference is purely from the case.

Started playing about with Ghost recently alongside building out a K3S cluster. I've never liked using WP for my own site, and is one reason I've probably not been doing anything with it for a while. Ghost does seem pretty smooth and simplistic in comparison, although may take some getting used to.

I am slowly picking this system apart as-and-when I can to better understand it (I'm yet to dump the ROMs), but if anyone has any sort of information or technical documentation beyond just simply reverse engineering this, would be gratefully received!

I am still trying to find more information though on the Lynwood Beta Terminals, beyond a few pages scattered about, there doesn't seem to be too much on these. Apologies on the poor photo (obviously I'll get better ones in future when I do more work on this)

Managed to get a hold of a couple more Lynwood Beta Terminal keyboards (in various states of disrepair), so that now makes 3 in total. One is fully restored already, these two need quite a bit of work. Looking at doing a custom PCB for the worst of these and have something a little bit different??

One big problem with ADHD, is that when you start a project, you ultimately end up getting distracted and add it to the ever-expanding 'to-do' pile. I really need to get back on and finish my Apple M0110A Keyboard, as it's still sat fully stripped down waiting to be sorted!

And that's a wrap. My Twitter/X account is now deactivated and should be fully killed off soon. Interestingly, other than the X company mention at the bottom, the deactivation confirmation for the developer side is all still Twitter branded!

Have to admit, I've high hopes for Fortnite Chapter 6. The Remix was OK, unless you're at the receiving end of Eminem's minigun... Will be good to get back onto the story quests too, missed that aspect of it!

We can issue a right to erasure which should ensure it's all gone. I don't trust they will delete everything after 30 days.

My account over there is purely just for listening also now, as trying to browse without having to log in is an absolute pain. Then again the stuff that's on there now is also a pain mentally. I'll likely be completely deleting my account and requesting my data destroyed within the next week or so!

Keyboard/Device converter dev board is mostly assembled now but working! Still waiting for another logic shifter, but so far much better than the breadboard setup I was using! I could probably tidy the neopixels a bit too but they're functional and fine as-is. Certainly more reliable than before!

Collect 899 koroks in master mode, then never play BOTW again...

Tonight I met Professor Steve Furber at an event, and cheekily asked for a signature on my Acorn Electron (Elk). Made my day!
