I don’t know what I enjoy most about baseball. The game itself, people talking about the game, or people talking about their suffering watching the game in a way that I can only describe as “absolutely catholic in nature”

Also, if you can and want to, there’s this feature called “hype” now where viewers can hype three videos per week of any creator between 500 and 500K, and and it boosts it in the algorithm. If enough of you do it, it would be a great help. Thank you!

Another win for The Ditch and BDS.

After The Ditch uncovered evidence the Marianne Danica was transporting 18 containers of artillery projectiles to Israel, the people of Cabo Verde said: No.

Cabo Verde has refused the ship harbour.

We will continue.

Hades 2 Review - IGN This exceptional action roguelite is some of Supergiant's best work on nearly every level.

To the shock of no one, Hades 2 is absolutely spectacular. It took one of the best action games of all time and knew exactly where to add, where to remix, and where to keep things the same. Also featuring a short interview about my personal criteria for a 10/10 game.

half-remembering that thing about how most Roman citizens experienced the fall of Rome as simply one day their local bridge went out and nobody came around to repair it

breaks my heart how many people identify with this thread. we deserve a better world than this.

you will get through it, though. this moment will not last forever. burrow in like a cockroach, survive as long as you can. a moment will come when everything turns on its head.

we are going to win.

i'm so tired of seeing my friends and allies being forced to beg for scraps month after month just to barely make ends meet. it does not have to be this way. it cannot stay this way forever. something has to change.

there is simply no alternative. everything is rent-seeking and nobody in power wants to do anything about it because they all benefit from the rents. the profit motive is a cancer and there is no moderate treatment. we either excise it completely, or everyone who isn't rich fucking dies.

it just pisses me off how limited even the most progressive horizons for change are right now. a rent freeze wouldn't be enough. UBI wouldn't be enough (it'd just be another government subsidy to landlords). housing needs to be nationalized and treated as a human right.

one of the less-discussed harms of the housing affordability crisis is how it makes escaping from abusive living situations borderline impossible. i'm not even just talking about teens, i mean folks well into their 20s and 30s who came of age into an impossible job market and can't afford to leave

While I got my knuckles rapped by corporate America for being rude and tasteless about a guy who dreamed of the stoning of me and everyone I love, Fox's Brian Kilmeade advocated explicitly for the state murder of all homeless people -- on live TV, no less -- to virtually no response.

Though the man’s killing had been filmed, a fact checker is obliged to seek comment from any party alleged to have committed a crime. I called the soldier’s lawyer. He picked up from a café, where I could hear trance music blasting in the background. The lawyer told me that while, yes, his client did shoot the man picking olives, and yes, the man did die, the Israeli military court found his client not guilty of murder because the man picking olives was a terrorist who was throwing stones. Even though the video did not show the Palestinian man throwing stones, the court said that he was, so he was. QED, his client did not murder anyone, and it would be slanderous for us to say so.

if you read one thing today, make it this absolutely devastating piece from a fact-checker who quit the New Yorker

Built in the 13th century. So that mosque stood for 800 years with every sort of person from every place and every religion in the world passing through Gaza century after century, only for it to be blown up by some shithead loser sitting behind a computer that we probably paid for.

Julius Streicher, editor of Der Sturmer, would frequently published columns titled "Jewish Crimes" crimes committed by Jewish people was published.

On October 16th, 1946 Streicher was executed by hanging for "crimes against humanity" for what later would be classified as "incitement to genocide."

but to emphasise your point, the level of control you get over other people quoting you seems very good

AI cannot fail, it can only be sabotaged. You must stay ever-vigilant against Trotskyist wreckers.

a few things i believe about art:
-artists create audiences.
-audiences do not know what they want. that's what the artists are for.
-there is no such thing as "objectively bad" art.
-critical feedback is good and you must throw away 99.999% of it.
-artists should want their audiences to suffer.

The decision not to dissolve the companies directly implicated in the Holocaust has only taught them that there is no reason not to participate in genocide if it's profitable. Class society means consequences don't exist for the ruling class. Nothing changes until that changes, by whatever means.
