A quoted tweet from a user named Sam that reads: "How Twitter is rigged
Type in all caps because you're excited? Lowers your reputation. Include links? Your score goes down. It's like the Credit Score system from Hell.
And given Cisgender is treated as a slur & MAGA boosted, you can guess what's categorized as 'offensive'"
The tweet they quoted is from user SADIQ and reads:
"Tweepcred is X's reputation system
Based on your behavior, you get a tweepcred score
It determines your reach
Break the algo rules, you score goes down and your reach disappears
What are the rules of the X algo tho? Glad you asked."
SADIQ includes a photo of Twitter's algorithm code that calculates a user's reputation.
SADIQ continues:
"Post 'offensive text'? 80% reach reduction
Offensive username? 80% reach reduction
All caps tweet? That's seen as 'shouting. Major penalization.
Include links? Yup, penalized"
I'm begging any artists still using Twitter claiming it's integral to their work to just leave. It's been revealed the site works off a made up "credit score" from hell and punishes you for posting like a normal human being.
Abandon Twitter for good. It's time. It's been time.

I think that would be a huge market for this. Weβre all tired of reading people who are always right.

In an underwater scene, a sailfish, a mola, a mermaid whose flowing hair recalls marine algae, a dugong, and several golden trevally are grouped together in a vertically-oriented composition with some kelp against a black background. The illustration is drawn with intricate linework, with an emphasis on contours and varying line weight, and with areas of solid black ink.

Black and white intaglio spit-bite aquatint print of an intimate night sky looking over the ocean with neuron trees and a sky full of stars and neurotransmitter constellations. In an edition of 10.

Neurotransmitter acetylcholine as a constellation rising in the night sky with serotonin diminished and setting on the horizon as in the stage of sleep called REM. REM sleep is when your #dreams are most vivid and the mind is highly active while your body is paralyzed; except your eyes, which are in rapid motion.

'Descent with Modification,' (2011), 18" X 24," colored pencil and ink on paper. Artwork is abstraction of an orange burrow system with a conical top made of rounded pellets with a circular opening at its top, connecting to a vertical shaft below; the vertical shaft then branches into five chambers, each containing a modern crustacean. The crustaceans are, from left to right: callianassid shrimp; upogebiid shrimp; ghost crab; lobster; crayfish. The burrow on the far right shows branching just before the chambers for the lobster and crayfish, symbolizing their common ancestry. The background is horizontally divided into strips that are, from top to bottom: light blue-green wavy zone; stippled light blue-green sediment; stippled dark blue-green sediment; deep blue sediment; and black at the bottom.
For #Crustmas, an artwork of mine made for a Darwin-themed art exhibit at Fernbank Museum in Atlanta GA in 2011. Titled 'Descent with Modification,' it shows the evolutionary relatedness of modern burrowing crustaceans using a branching burrow system as a cladogram. π§ͺπ¨π¦π¦π¦ #sciart

Drawing of an angelic figure with large wings that take up most of the image and extend beyond the boundary of the drawing. The wings form layers of blue, pink, white, pink, blue to echo the design of the trans flag. The angel is a skeleton with a bird-like skull and one glowing pink eye and one glowing blue eye. They are holding a sword to their chest with the tip of the sword pointing toward the ground. Their feet are extended downward in such a way as to make it look as though they were floating. They are wearing a crown of pink and blue flowers on their head.
For today's #ArtAdventCalendar, something a little different. Drew this during #TransArtMay as the grand finale for the month. Was thinking about that whole "they'll be able to tell your 'real' gender from your skeleton" thing which is the weirdest argument ever. Anyway, have a trans angel warrior π

Here sits, in the center of a landscape-oriented photo, a prothonotary warbler, which is a lemon-yellow bird at the head, but whose body enters a gradient that goes from olive green to a kind of blue-green-gray at the tail. Its eyes are black and empty, and its beak short and dark, even as it's surrounded by the bright green growth of late spring, early summer, the bird itself is manifesting great sinister darkness, for the bird's black eyes KNOW WHAT YOU DID, and it will use its short beak to SING THE SONGS OF YOUR MANY CRIMES and also probably PECK OUT YOUR SINFUL EYES haha I'm just kidding he's mostly just cute. This little fella was quite curious and happy to get close to me, despite being something of a rare(r) warbler. Photo by me, Chuck Wendig

A magazine cover, with a single illustration covering the entire page, and no headlines over the top. A hand illustration -- perhaps watercolors -- shows a snowy day and an empty road heading towards the viewer. In the distance, a cozy christmas tree store surrounded by green trees, some cut and some still standing, with a cozy cabin behind. In the foreground, a jaunty woman with hat and sunglasses and scarf bicycles toward us, with a christmas tree horizontally held on the front rack of her bike and a black scotty dog running alongside. She and the shop and the cabin are all in pastels; pinks and purples and white. Her white scarf and hat match the white snow on the store and cabin. It is a cheerful, jaunty, undaunted tone, and evenly spaced big snowflakes float down over it all. At the top the magazine name, The New Yorker, the date Dec. 19, 1942, and the Price: 15 cents. At the bottom is the signature of the artist, Garrett Price https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garrett_Price
It's time once again for my annual #treebybike post. This is the 12/19/42 cover of @newyorker.com, so one full year after the attack on Pearl Harbor. This would be the first real Christmas alone, or without a family member, for millions in the US. Gas and tire rationing had begun earlier that year.ποΈ
