Another vote to avoid Wayfair. Got a cheap folding craft table from them and within a year one of the wheels had ripped itself off and a shelf on the door had popped out on one side. Maybe it's a case of get what you pay for, but I still don't rate them. Middle class Temu if you ask me.

Bagpipes are obnoxiously loud and sound like they're being forced to produce music. As an instrument, they were built for saying fuck you. I love them so much.

production of The Muppet Show should not be dependent on petty vulgarities like β€œratings” or β€œrevenue.” it should be preserved as a vital function of american culture. it should have a taxpayer-funded budget rivaling the CIA

Other than that, great fun. Sabrina Carpenter was delightful and it was joyous to see the Muppets back in their natural environment.

New Muppets show is pretty fun. I would absolutely love to see more.

If I had one recommendation going forward though, it'd be to ditch the CGI. Muppets are at their best with practical effects. If the skit hinges on a wind machine, use an actual freaking wind machine.

So that was excellent. I'm just going to block all oscars news now and assume this wins everything.

Right, I'm what, 15 minutes in? And I'm already of the opinion Michael B Jordan better win that damn oscar.

Why is the key mapping for the PlayStation media player so janky? Every other media app uses X as Play/Pause, but the native media app for physical discs? It's like they rotated the mapping 90Β° for shits and giggles.

I'd love it to be mine, but I already got Thatcher and don't want to be greedy. Share the wealth and all that.

January 20th is Penguin Awareness Day so I'm going to share a few good penguin facts/stories.

My goal is to spread greater Penguin Awareness.

One of the most popular and crowd-pleasing arias in classical opera, "PerchΓ© non c'Γ¨ cibo nella mia ciotola, donna?" tells an emotional tale of a desperately malnourished waif and translates into English as "Why Is There No Food In My Bowl, Woman?"

This horse bolted a very long time ago. You're promising something that's impossible because we already know they're built on stolen work.

Pogs.

Oh, you want more details? You stacked some cardboard discs on top of each other, then threw a heavier disc at them. But not the metal one, that was cheating.

Any that fell wrong side up, you got to keep. We did this for fun for about three months, then collectively decided to stop.

I feel like there must be some Godwin's law equivalent for discussing disappointing media inevitably leading to Steven Moffat getting a mention.

Excuse you, but they already do good episodes. They're the once every season "fuck it, we're doing a musical now".

I solved the 'it's still the Year of the Snake, but everyone thinks it's Year of the Horse' problem.

It's now the month of the Snorse.

New Years Day is a False Monday, no matter what day it actually falls on. The human brain just can't conceive of it not being a Monday, and the later in the week it occurs, the worse it gets.

I've just started Jerome K Jerome's 'Three Men In A Boat', so it's either author, author insert, or Man of Unspecified Means. Option three sounds the most fun, I won't lie.
