TikTok is a prophecy of what will happen. They’re attempting to divide us and scatter our attempts at organization. Some of y’all think TT was just a silly dance app, but it was where I got indie news, found my community & learned about big upcoming issues.

I’m not using it any longer - the bootlicking Trump message folks are seeing upon signing back in left a bad taste in my mouth, as did Shou reposting Charlie Kirk.

It was a lot less rampant than it is here, both from creators and commenters. In general, I felt it was a positive space; if it wasn’t for you, perhaps you sought out troll-y content & your algorithm curated negativity.

I think most of us who came from TikTok are just kind of sick of internet trollery. TikTok was a generally supportive space; having it taken away & migrating to a new platform of snarky Gen Xers (I’m a mil) kind of sucks 🤷🏻‍♀️
