Gen X is currently tracking at 12 pts to the right of the electorate on the generic ballot. Now 9 pts to the right of Boomers, which has to be the largest gap ever.

Charlie Kirk spent his life‘s work and all of his energy and time targeting out-groups while arguing for a world in which gun massacres would be easy to enact, plentiful, and inevitable, and he became famous and wealthy doing it, and we’re now not supposed to mention that because it’s not polite.

Whiteness only demands civility and grace in response to calls for accountability and responsibility for whiteness and white supremacism.

We simply cannot live in a country where the death of hate mongers is a tragedy and the death of everyone else only warrants a shrug.

In a fascist country, violence is a tragedy to be blamed on their political enemies when fascists say it is, and it's an isolated but unpreventable tragedy that must never be politicized when they say so, and it's no big deal when they say so, and it's righteous self-defense when they say so.

Five days after the event in Queens, Chinese American community leaders held a rally at Confucius Plaza in Chinatown in Manhattan, where Times reporters again witnessed red envelopes being distributed. Then, on July 27, Times reporters saw more envelopes being passed out at the Sunset Park rally. Robin Mui, the chief executive of the Sing Tao U.S. newspaper, was among the organizers of the Manhattan rally. Mr. Mui made at least one trip, in 2014, to China with Mr. Adams and Ms. Greco.

Let’s hope the NYT public editor looks into why Times reporters witnessed multiple instances of cash being handed out at the mayor’s events but didn’t write it up til they got beaten on the story by a feisty nonprofit site ….
