Today we will have another two motion of censures against the von der Leyen Commission, with debate in the European Parliament and vote on Thursday.

The two motions come from the far-left and far-right. As a reminder, here is my breakdown from EU Analytics over the July's vote:

the Swiss are pressuring their gov cancel billions worth of orders for F35s too.

meanwhile, the White House "factsheet" about the tariffs is a work of pure fiction.

After Rejecting U.S. F-35 Fighters, Spain Mulls Acquisition Of Turkey's KAAN Aircraft: Spanish Media After rejecting US F-35 stealth fighters, Spain is reportedly considering acquiring Turkey’s under-development KAAN aircraft. Spain’s decision had come in the backdrop of multiple countries, including...

Very interesting...
& again as predicted - wasn't it obvious to all? - The US "defense" (war?) industry will suffer medium to longer term owing to Trump's "policies"

I notice a lot of british saying that. Didn't starmer make a massive deal about where labour stand on brexit before the GE2024?

"we will not re-join the EU, the Single Market or the Customs Union - in My Lifetime!" - Keir Starmer 2024.

I don't think labour can be more pro-brexit.

the Falklands would have voted remain as well but they were not allowed a vote.

we may really just be witnessing the end of the UK Union SeΓ‘n.

post empre, post devolution & post brexit, the rise of "englishness" shouldn't surprise us. And it's also not surprising to see them withdraw from the "british" and "Uk" thing.

Trump considers massive bailout of at least $10 billion for American farmers hurt by his trade war | CNN Business American farmers are having a tough year, in no small part because of President Donald Trump’s trade war. Huge tariffs & subsidising sectors: the height of *protectionism*.
Remember when Brexiters said UK needed to leave EU because of this?
UK has succeeded in putting itself outside both..where even tariff free with EU - that can only dream of with US - fucks over UK

Northern Ireland deal opens door to β€œimmediate” talks on UK Horizon Europe association, says von der Leyen Commission president Ursula von der Leyen has said that work on associating the UK to the EU’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme will start β€œimmediately” once the wider deal between Bru...

a recent example might be the HoC vote for the WF, against the wishes of british unionists in NI, was 515-to-28.

An astonishing result.

The WF was also a dependency for the UK to re-join EU horizon and a side (MoU) deal for financial services. Both are worth billions to London. For NI, not.

Yes, the Good Friday Agreement provides the legal process (referendum in NI & Ireland) for it to happen.

I think it's too soon for some loyalists but the problem now is it's clear NI is not in the future plans for english nationalists...i.e. reform or tories and labour are pro brexit.

it's a human trait...like "othering", sadly.

Called "pulling up the ladder”, it appears to emerge when individuals associate past adversity with valued achievement: easing the process for others can invalidate their prior hardship and diminish their accomplishment.

Almost 10 years after the vote, the consequences of Brexit continue to unravel.

Are we witnessing the end of the "United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland?" Will NI leave the UK to re-join the EU with Ireland? because of brexit.

Great piece by Tom. the β€œMyth of British Aloneism" rings very true already.

Gibraltar (vtd remain) joins EU schengen & CU and NI (vtd remain) is still largely in the EU SM for goods, already half way out of the UK Union.
