"The men implicated in the Epstein files reinforces that I spend half my life explaining to men that their simplified, optimistic view of other men doesnβt line up with the experience of women and girls trying to dodge sexual harassment, assault and abuse attempts." - Leslie Morgan Steiner

I've got a family member who always parks in those bays because he has mobility issues that means he needs the extra space to open the door all the way to get in and out of the car, but the way people look at him (as he very obviously limps into the shop) you'd think he'd done something much worse

The audio guide for the van Gogh museum seems to *really* hate that idea, and makes a point of refuting it repeatedly. They also point out that if his brother hadn't been willing to support him he would probably have painted much less. It's really refreshing that it's not penniless madness=genius

Would you include all the hidden cellars/old castle under the grounds that they find in The Long Patrol? Because a sunken castle seems like it might be a challenge (an awesome one)

Long after it lost the ability to turn up on your doorstep with a warship and stiffly worded letter suggesting you stop that shit *right now*, Britain retained a hell of a lot of soft power.
Remarkable to see this government pissing a key part of that down the drain.

I *still* remember being the only child with divorced parents in the class aged about 6 and nearly crying because we were told to draw everyone who lived in our house, but the instructions also said to include both parents, and I didn't want to get it wrong but couldn't work out how to reconcile it

A gravelly voice spoke from under the mayor's bed.
"I hear you need a monster hunter."
The mayor sat up.
"What? Who?"
"I'm a monster. I hunt. What do you need hunted?"
"Beklo the Ogre, but..."
"I'll bring you its head."
"How..."
"I am a monster under the bed. If it sleeps, I can find it."

But I actually think there's a gap between the sofa and the door in the listing, if you look at where the legs on the sofa are relative to the rug...

When I had to use assistance a few months ago there was a way to book the ticket first & then book the assistance separately online but it's cumbersome, not obvious, and despite the email confirming the assistance it wasn't actually there when I got to the station, so I'm not sure how useful it is!

Yeah, and one of the pictures shows that they were idiots about the weather but they did have extra layers and space blankets etc so they weren't even completely unprepared, just massively over confident (assuming that kit is theirs at least - it doesn't look like MR stuff)

A five by five bingo card, here are the things to look out for:
Top row: 80's bed linen, obscure musical instrument, bed too small for over 6ft person, CRT TV/Monitor, tumble dryer
Second row: exercise bike (as clothes horse), DALEK, 90s or earlier games console, too much crafting stuff, single beds for long term partners
Middle row: old cuddly toy, bed on tiles/lino, DUVET, multiple labubus, bare plaster board
Fourth row: bed next to fridge, 4+ Jilly Cooper novels, definitely dead house plant, caravan, large collection of jigsaws
Bottom row: giant buzz ball, "curtains" that are not curtains, scary dolls, bed under table, power tools.
Right then, no one asked for it (everyone seems quite happy with last year's!) but here we are anyway, your #DuvetKnowItsChristmas 2025 bingo card! Some returning classics, some we missed last year and some new ones. Enjoy team, donation link below once Rhodri posts it!

And that would be great for patients too! There's plenty of injuries/conditions that mean you medically can't drive and not everyone has someone to give them a lift or the money to pay for a taxi. It seems completely obvious that hospitals should be well served by buses

Often ranting about TfL's worst Cycleway (#Cycleway1). Tens of thousands of potential cycle journeys are lost every day because huge compromise were made.
In a world of disaster capitalism, be a rebel: ride a bicycle and buy your clothes 2ndhand from charity shops.
Also, all the best people have trees in their bio.
Now tell me, where will your next bike ride be?
