I got told off in my work a few yrs ago in Germany for waffling in emails. Ever since I am polite but just get to the fucking point!

I will be sure to say that on my next lesson obs feedback!

I have a similar goal with emails, get to inbox zero by 4pm! Problem with my tangents is in physics kids ask very good hypothetical questions a lot of the time!

Athough my copy is a bit out of date, as it says one day the Higgs Boson may be discovered!

If you are a high school physics student or undergraduate (or teacher), I highly recommend you get a copy of the Oxford Dictonary of Physics. My copy saw me through the last yr of A Level and my undergrad. Not a replacement for a textbook, but an extremely useful reference!

Sounds pretty outdated. About 7 yrs ago I was teaching a class about pseudoscience and used learning styles as an example. The head's office was next door and he popped in concerned bc he thought I was using learning styles for real! 🤣

It was pretty much debunked when I started my PGCE in 2008 but was still in style. Since then it's been widely dismissed as quackery to quote Smithers.
