At release, I would agree with you. They cleaned it up a LOT in post-release, and added a lot to the game. As Larian is wont to do. CDPR did the same with Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077.

Still, I genuinely loved the game and I have replayed it many more times than I should have.

What was busted about it? Plenty of bugs, and I'd argue the evil path was not fully fleshed out.
