Man, it's this: For years the fan base has been begging for the team to spend money on a #10. And they finally did.

And he was great! Arguably the best 18 months by any Rapids player ever!

And then he asked to be traded to one of the few MLS situations that, as of now, is in much worse shape.

Still might win, but....not sure that's the point.

I don't want Malone gone, best coach Denver has ever had, but there have been many moments this year where they look like they've tuned him out.

But tonight...they are sloppy, and getting out hustled badly, and.....not much response. Going through motions.

Used to be, when the Nuggets got embarrassed, you could count on them coming with some fire in the next game.

I hate that it's gotten to this point, but it's fair to start to wonder if Malone has lost this team.

I've thought about this a lot over the last few weeks. If the Nuggets had traded Jokic at roughly the same age( 2020 trade deadline), knowing now what his next 5 years looked like....oh man. And back then, you could have made the same dumb arguments that Luka got traded for!
