In an Intense Election Year, New Post Office Rules Could Trip Up Voter Registration - Bolts A change in how mail is postmarked could lead some voters to miss key deadlines, including voter registration. Advocates worry the people most affected will be those already facing voting barriers.

NEW: The USPS changed its rules on how it postmarks ballots.

This may affect elections at every stage at which there's a mail deadline.

An underplayed one: VOTER REGISTRATION.

Many voters who send in their registration forms by mail could be postmarked late, missing out without realizing it.

And this is why we don't need people like Toure running around giving white people passes to say the N-word to Black Ice Agents. Although, true story, the person he said that to the Ice Agent was Black. I digress. Too many white people consistently look for passes to be able to say that word.

Get all the way out if Black people have to accept disability as an excuse for racism. When it was Kanye, a Black man, wilding out with Nazism while clearly in psychotic mania, was anybody feeling sorry for him? Nobody was & to be clear I still don’t. Bigotry harms even from a disabled person.

Everything in this thread. Some white folks genuinely don't care that a hurtful, harmful slur was used. As if it literally doesn't matter, and seem confused at Black folks (+ others) saying it absolutely does. And the worst part is I bet most of these people think of themselves as some kind of ally.

Black people are always expected to ignore the harm, and all of the feelings that come with being harmed, and only center the person who does the harm.

They didn't mean it.
They're old.
They don't know what they're saying.
They don't understand.
They were joking.

Y’all (white people) like to do this thing where y’all (white people) try to tell Black people how to feel and control the way we react when there are very public displays of harm or mistreatment towards us, and I don’t like that shit. I don't like that shit at all.

The Roberts Court loves corporations. Corporations are their benefactor more so than Trump. Corporations were not happy with the tariffs. SCOTUS rules against Trump when it's Corporations v. Trump. End of.

Don't let this fool you into thinking this court as any goddamn legitimacy. It does not.

Comparing Supreme Court rulings that deal with people with rulings that deal with capitalism is very revealing. It’s money that matters.

I just wanna let everyone know that the reason that the DOJ under Biden didn’t always do what we wanted was because it wasn’t an arm of the White House. It is supposed to be an independent entity. I hope the next time that it is, you remember today, when Trump put his face on the building.

All the other countries have consequences for criminals, pedophiles, and insurrectionists. But not here.

We could have nice things, too, if we just stood by our founding principles.

Watching other countries actually make their leaders and powerful men face consequences with jealousy.

People can say it’s utopian or dreamy but it’s a fact that you have to believe new things are possible, fundamentally, in order to make them real. You have to make the choice to believe that more than this is possible & not be resigned to this being the way things have to be because it’s not at all.

Too familiar a tale for Arsenal this season. A wonder goal and this team just loses their shit. Said last month that Arsenal were the team best placed to stop Arsenal winning the league.

This is what it looks like.

Did y'all know that NYC was such a slave city that Mayor Fernando Wood proposed that NYC secede from the Union? www.untappedcities.com/on-this-day-...

How many New Yorkers do we think know this today?

Yes it’s Valentine’s Day. But it’s also the chosen birthday of Frederick Douglass who was born in 1818 on a plantation in Talbot County, Maryland. He escaped from slavery & rose to become the most eloquent and forceful voice for the abolition of slavery & for Black voting rights in the U.S.
