I woke up during/following a seizure at around 5am this morning. Not to be dramatic, but I’m a little afraid to go to bed.

I had a sleep study done last night. I thought it would be really strange to sleep in a lab in some random office building, but I was exhausted, the bed was really comfortable, no snoring partner, no cat Olympics at 4am. Best night of sleep I’ve had in ages.

I was on the couch with an ice pack on my head and my teen comes in the room to tell me there is cat puke on the floor INSTEAD OF CLEANING IT UP HIMSELF WHAT THE HELL.

I think there are just a lot more options now with the foam mattress in a box and whatnot. We were sleeping on spring mattress and if you didn’t buy a good one it sucked.

Most of the both cool (music, free-range) and uncool (everything smelling like smoke, bad brows) things about Gen X are true. But what they leave out is that until at least about 2010, you were sleeping on a really uncomfortable bed unless you had money. Putting 2-3 foam toppers on that bitch.
