In MI, SNAP benefits have been ORDERED to be suspended by the federal govt. They are targeting the most vulnerable yet again. The goal of our federal govt seems to be to cruel at every turn to those who need the help the most while giving extra benefits to those who need them the least.

I want more people to care that SNAP benefits are being cut off on November 1. 40% of SNAP beneficiaries are children. This is callous and vile.

avoid another trump. as the mother of a trans child and other friends/family of marginalized communities, it feels like betrayal.

so, reaching out for opinions, wondering how i would feel if i were part of the group getting screwed over and someone i loved voted for them.

on board with your comments on Harris. i voted for Harris. i'm just seeing a lot of 'Blue no matter who', etc., and asking myself:

if the blue candidate is advocating for a policy or law that denies human rights to a marginalized group, can/should i vote for someone who would cause them harm,

those rights later? i honestly don't know, so how can i vote to deny those rights to other people?

aren't the ones who would be losing freedoms? this is where i struggle. when voting against big evil requires the marginalization of 'not us'. so i sit with questions like: would i give up my right to hold a job or get an education, if it meant getting rid of trump? because *maybe* i could have

how do we weigh and decide who is expendable and, who does that make us as human beings? are we willing to give up the rights we have? should i give up my right to an abortion? my right to vote? to own property or a bank account without my husband's permission?

but how do i look my friend in the eyes if i vote for someone who wants to overturn Obergefell and make their marriage illegal. to take their kids away from one of the parents?

how do i face my daughter after voting for someone who wants to take away her healthcare and force her to live as a male?

voting for that person, sacrificing the freedoms and protections, the human rights of a group of people, in order to get closer to our desired destination...
