We know everyone is asking for your money this month, but here's a twist: We're NOT asking you to donate in December, we're asking you to spread the word.

Help the trans people and allies who don't know Assigned Media's reputation for excellence and originality in trans news find us!

Humankind has launch more satellites in the past four years (2021 - 2025) than in the previous seven decades.

75% of the currently active satellites belong to a single operator (SpaceX).

Tweet by Stephen King quoting me but without any quotes or attribution: “Imagine that some deranged technologists notice one day that lemonade looks a lot like piss. You could almost confuse the two if you overlooked the taste, the smell, the source and the ingredients, and if you had no compunctions about drinking a lot of piss. By this point in Silicon Valley everyone has been guzzling piss for so long that most of them have forgotten they were only pretending to like the taste.”

Article from Des Moines Register 27 November 1908: NO BEER; CAT LEAVES TOWN
Feline Deserts Connecticut Village That Went "Dry."
WINSTED, Conn., Nov. 28. Fannie, a cat owned by Barreuther Bros., had liking for lager beer. When the town recently voted "dry" her owners went out of business and Fannie missed her drink. For some days she went to her saucer and cried for beer, but as none was forthcoming she disappeared. It is suspected she has gone to the nearest license town.

To begin with today, happy 117th anniversary to this entirely reasonable cat

Still from news coverage of the exploding whale, showing an enormous explosion on a beach

It’s 12 November, so it’s time to mark the 55th anniversary of the exploding whale of Oregon, an attempt to clear a cetacean carcass from a beach which prompted one reporter to say “The blast blasted blubber beyond all believable bounds”

The Shutdown of U.S.A.I.D. Has Already Killed Hundreds of Thousands The short documentary “Rovina’s Choice” tells the story of what goes when aid goes.
