A ceramic pot in stone/ cream/ grey/ brown colour way. The pot sits askew a myriad of tentacles, fifteen I think.

The pot in situ aside a white brick chimney breast surrounded by a 3-D aztec (?) style frieze, again painted white. Also in frame are a sad looking spider plant, that used to be Alice’s. She did not take good care of it. It looks healthier than it used to but it’s struggling. On the other side of the chimney breast is a pot I bought in Norwich where I went to complete the final draft of Her Name is Alice. On the hearth are family photos and birthday and anniversary cards.

My tentacle pot is finally unwrapped (what a nerve wracking ten minutes that was) and on display.

It is even more beautiful than I hoped.
