I got back on tumblr which has caused me to mostly forget that I have this account. So, just to update, I have spent the recent past rapidly alternating between

1. cautious optimism
2. efforts to reconnect with my community
3. horny depression

2) references? at this point I don't know that there's anything aside from knowing me already that makes clear that I'm worth making work with. Having folks vouch for me would be a great help.

The UK is launching ‘porn age checks’. This is what will happen The UK is about to launch some of the strongest checks on pornography in the world.

It's not just "porn" sites. As of midnight, any site that allows NSFW is now legally required in the UK to bar visitors unless they present a govt ID, submit to a biometric scan, or otherwise identify themselves.

That means Discord, Bluesky, Reddit, X.

It is my birthday! I am 37.

The big picture and the future still hold many mysteries, but for now Mom is doing very well considering her illness. Come next week, she will be in her own home for the first time since March.

My mom is coming home next week!

Her health has improved recently to the point where she no longer qualifies for hospice. We're frustrated by how some administrative stuff was handled leading up to this, but the big takeaway is that her health has improved dramatically.

I heard this news yesterday while spending time with my mother, who has advanced cancer and is in hospice. This news fills me with great sadness and deep gratitude for the gifts they left for us. I'll be sharing their work with Mom soon.

I went to the doctor today because I've been having trouble hearing out of my right ear. They removed some impacted earwax and Now I Can. Hear! Everything!!

One of the residents at my mom's nursing home looked at me, pointed at Mom, and told me "your wife is beautiful"
