Everyone in the United States of America gets a hearing. It has to be innocent until proven guilty or none of us is safe. People have tried to tell me that "illegals" don't have rights because they are criminals... how do we know they are either of these things without someone actually checking.

At DOJ, we used to call these “for profit prisons” and when BOP or a state used them, those inmates were still considered to be in the custody of that prison system for relevant legal purposes. There is no reason El Salvadoran terror prison should be any different.

Considering people have been kicked off the voting rolls for just having the same names as people who are ineligible, you never know when you will have to re-register. They are getting creative in making voting an inconvenience.

If you have taken your husband's name and don't have a passport or some other way to prove your citizenship, you might not get to vote. Considering how little voter fraud has actually been proven, it's a pretty obvious voter suppression tactic.
