currently, flight delays and cancellations aren’t really any worse than normal, so flying will likely be the normal amount of headache. it’s unlikely that it will be bad enough to justify taking the train instead, i think.

got my first mammogram at age 40 (the first year they’re recommended and covered) and it showed stage 3c breast cancer. with the significant rise in cancers in people in their 40s in recent years, would be cool if i could’ve started getting those earlier. alas.

especially if one is prone to taking to bed for long periods of time! people think the bed shouldn’t be enticing, but all that happens if you don’t have good sheets is you’re miserable in bed and it’s like “and on top of all this? these sheets feel like sandpaper against my ass.”

the most important thing for a bed situation is that it feels wonderful. it must feel delightful to wriggle one’s nude form around in it. also it is important to have multiple sets of equally soft sheets so you can get the joy of fresh sheets without always having to do laundry.
