It was way more than I was expecting as well! I expected protesters, but they were out of control during the drag show. I’m really glad I went :)

I am slowly transitioning socially. This was a big step for me :)

A few milestones today:

-I took my kid to their first Pride event today. She enjoyed the kids zone & the drag show a lot. I did have to explain why there were protesters screaming nasty things at & booing the drag queens. She says bullies should stop that

-I wore a skirt in public for the 1st time

Finally made it to a Pride festivity this year. First time at Durham, NC Pride! Fun parade with a big crowd that was spread out nicely. It was great to see the parade attended by so many people! 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️
