I, too, have strong feelings about how birds are dinosaurs, I simply never stop thinking about it and it brings me so much joy, please trust me if you have not yet embraced the “birds are dinosaurs” worldview 100% of the time, it’s glorious over here.

There are terrible things happening and I also just saw someone crashing out over people who don’t think that birds are dinosaurs, and that’s why humanity is beautiful.

The church I grew up in used to go around cleaning the streets of my hometown and did all these community service projects. My dad recently left after a literal lifetime of attendance because the people running the church moved a food collection table out of an entryway because it was unsightly.

Perpetually trying to hold in my brain that we’re all just out here making choices based off our feelings, and then bolstering them with logic with varying degrees of consciousness that our brains work that way.

Oooooh, okay that makes more sense. And yeah, like people in the community are not masking to hide identity because they’re kidnapping people, ffs.

This also has real ableist, “if you aren’t making direct eye contact with me then you aren’t engaging with me in a friendly way” energy. Like, if you can’t feel connected to someone because they don’t meet certain social requirements for you, that’s a you problem, buddy.

Calling people who gently encourage masking “thugs” sure is a choice.

That said, you are not alone, a ton of SDV players loathe the fishing minigame! It's very challenging.

It isn't easy to do, and it's harder at the beginning of the game than it is later on, for sure. And trying out different bobbers to see what works for your style is huge. (I love the trap bobber because it slows down the depletion of the catch bar when the fish gets outside your reel bar.)

I have a doctor’s appointment tomorrow to hopefully get a formal diagnosis for both POTS & EDS, along with potentially MCAS.

Does anyone who has gone through this have any advice or resource recommendations? I’m worried I won’t be taken seriously about my symptoms.
