Honestly these days I'm thrilled if the shot length in a fight scene is long enough to watch a punch get a wind up, throw, and landing, let alone these prolonged pieces of choreography. We really went through a long stretch where that was impossible to find.

I feel like The Raid: Redemption was outstanding with this- every fight felt desperate and frantic on someone's part, not super choreographed. The sequel lost some of the sloppiness to the fighting by adding polish (not a major complaint), and we haven't seen enough of this style in the mainstream.

I feel like you already know what a significant portion of the appeal is there.

The US-Canada women's hockey game was intense. Really fucking good hockey, it felt like a very even match the whole ride and cranked everything up in the final 15 minutes. OT was so fast-paced- I feel like I've seen it more cautious recently as opposed to the speed and rapid shots here.

This has been an AMAZING game. Tense as hell, low-scoring but that's because the goalies and defense are doing their jobs super well. A really incredible bit of sport
