On Saints Row we had a debug npc named Skinballs (lol) that was literally just four spheres wrapped in different shades of skin texture so we could test lighting for different skin tones during development. But teams need to plan for that kind of testing with intentionality, and not enough do.

Also saw it today, what a fuckin' movie. Perfect adaptation of the arc, loved how it used its soundtrack and silence throughout. I knew I'd be in for some unbelievable animation once the action started but god damn it still blew me away. Now the wait for S2 begins.

It looks so soulless, the original's aesthetic was so strong and distinct. I'm not even a huge Halo fan but it bothers me to think that this slop is what will eventually become the public image of Halo CE. At least the anniversary edition let you switch back to the original graphics.

Yeah I'm sure. My only insight is a buddy's wife who works at one and asks us for recommendations on what to buy every once in a while. I'm being a bit hypocritical because I haven't gone into a library in... a long time.

I think the public library is really the only option for that nowadays, I think most of them tend to have some selection of games.

One of the best demos I've played ever probably. Been hyped for the game since it was announced and the demo only got me more excited.

Hell yes, was really hoping it'd have a bunch of fashion options. Y is the only Pokemon game I got super into, and the fashion was a big part of that. Definitely picking this up now.

Someone made a mod that adds the Lost Crown thing where you can mark the spot you're standing in and it takes a screenshot that's attached to the map marker. Wouldn't mind if every metroidvania just took that.

I definitely noticed it being obscured fairly often, wondering how intentional that might be. But yeah, it's usually not a big deal to miss the sweet spot, really only a problem if you're relying on the extra air to clear an obstacle. My hope is that eventually the timings will become muscle memory
