I wrote this comic 2 years ago. I was terrified when I wrote it but had hope it wouldn't come to pass and would be a reminder of how bad things got before we pulled back.

It not only has, it has gotten even worse. This is absolutely terrifying and will destroy lives if passed.

I've written up a brief script for anyone who wants to call or write your representatives regarding this bill (yes, even the ones you think won't care). PLEASE DO THIS IF YOU ARE ABLE. This bill *cannot* pass.

Personally seems weird to me to not divorce the two(especially considering you could absorb BB-- even though its toxic fanbase didn't go away just because it ended --which feel double standard-y). The fanbase is not the product.

You are. I'm also allowed to point out, in a public forum, when I find something makes no sense. Again, to me it reads as punishing(/validating punishing) the creator/show for a portion of fans, rather than its own merits. I get you are uncomfortable with toxicity, but the toxicity isn't the show.

You can engage with something without its fanbase(not that it is the full fanbase, as is the case with most media). Case in point: Avoiding the Breaking Bad fanbase while absorbing content. Not having the energy for the fans is understandable, but your wording seemed to put the onus on the show.

100% valid not to interact if you're not a fan of the premise! Not everything is for everyone. I do like to sometimes branch out beyond "premises I like" if something gets big, but I also sometimes get burned for it, and I understand that's not for everyone.

Because a creator who put effort and soul into their work should be rewarded or punished based on the quality of their work/their own self, not based on the fact that their work is so attactive that bad people latched on as well?

Like, not sure what you are arguing for here, but it reads not great.
