Well potty training has been a deeply humbling experience. I *think* that going back to work tomorrow will be restful in comparison.

Did a softball today, was good for my sad brain and body. I scored 4 runs in 4 games. Mum was there too, and our pitcher is kid of mum’s best friend from school. All the small humans hanging out together was good for the souls. Plus glitter.

My phone screen time hasn’t plummeted as radically as I had hoped, one to work on, but I have watched a lot less tv.

In a bid to spend less time doom scrolling I made a plan to read more in 2025 and picked 100 books as my wildly ambitious aim.

I expected to fail.

But, having spent a good chunk of May/June/July being really sad and hiding from my own brain I am now 77 books down and feeling a tiny bit smug.

Its a GPlan Fresco that I got on Gumtree which is, I know, unhelpful. But they are often on FB Marketplace and Gumtree and I really would recommend it. It extends to seat 8. There is a circular one that extends to seat 6 as well.
