The tanker M/T Mersin, frequently seen in Russian ports like Novorossiysk and Taman, is now sinking off the coast of Senegal. The vessel had been heading to Africa but has remained stationary for nearly a week. Another 'mysterious' incident involving Russia-linked shipping.

⚡️ India to seek purchase of Russian jets, air defenses during Putin's visit, Bloomberg reports.
According to Bloomberg, Russia and India are expected to discuss the potential purchase of the fifth-generation Su-57 aircraft and the S-500 air defense system.
“🇷🇺 Russia has withdrawn from the Barents Sea rescue agreement. The Russian Foreign Ministry officially announced the decision this week.

Ofc, we didn't actually invade Finland. We "assisted" the new "legitimate government" who "asked" for help after tiny Finland aggressively attacked USSR just as our army was peacefully massed on their previous border in attack formation.

OTD in 1939 USSR began to liberate Finland from themselves in the Winter War. It followed denials, a false flag, a bullshit excuse, us deliberately targeting civilians while we took massive casualties we lied about.

Wieviel Sprengstoff ggf. an Bord war, kann man an den Spuren allein wohl schlecht ablesen.

Being from the preceding ‘Generation X’, and having grown up in the Cold War, to me Ulrike Franke’s description of her experience as a Millenial in Post-Cold War Germany drove home how different Finnish vs. German perspectives on security really are. Although we grew up in the same country.

For people of my age, growing up with Finnish grandparents meant growing up with Winter War stories. Plus my grandpa wrote a memoir for us kids, with some of the more traumatic stuff he couldn’t talk about. 🕯️

Die MdBs Kiesewetter (CDU), Kellner und von Notz (GRÜNE) haben über ihre Bedenken mit der F.A.S. gesprochen 👏.

Nicht erwähnt sind 2 weitere mögliche Motive:
1) Glaubhafte Demonstration, dass 🇷🇺 jegliche Unterwasser-Pipelines zerstören könnte - aber am eigenen Eigentum und daher ohne Eskalationsgefahr;
2) Diskreditierung der Ukraine in Deutschland, zu einer Zeit, als diese noch wenige deutsche Waffen erhielt.
Zu den möglichen Motiven Moskaus schreibt der Artikel, dass Russland so durch “höhere Gewalt” vor milliardenschweren Entschädigungen bewahrt wurde, die durch den zuvorigen 🇷🇺Lieferstopp entstanden waren. Mit diesem Stopp wollte Russland Deutschland bekanntlich vor Wintereinbruch unter Druck setzen.

Exactly. This signals the death of the old rules. Ukraine is importing "Caribbean Rules" to the Black Sea: if you sail dark and stateless, for better or worse you lose "civilian" protection. Striking them empty was the final legal checkmate—destroying the asset without the environmental war crime.
