It's galling how real evil works. The most banal, pathetic people wielding power against people they hate.

Destroy ICE. There need to be trials. The architects, soldiers and enablers of the ongoing horror must be held to task for what they have done and desire to do.

I don't think immortality is something that makes a character evil, but the disconnect from their humanity. Being immortal certainly can lead to that disconnect, it's just that it doesn't have to be a foregone conclusion.

The next chapter of A Wolf Age is about the most repugnant character I've written. She's evil, terribly capable and has absolutely convinced herself that she is helping humanity as a whole and those closest to her even as she kills and abuses.

Sirius goes through pronouns as often as Char does aliases, can't wait for the its/it arc and then, perhaps, neopronouns.
