Reminds me of a map I saw that tracked days over 120’ by US county. Went from something like 10 counties 50 yo to a few hundred now to half the country by 2050.

Insane.

And we are doing LESS about it rather than even barely enough.

For me? It dates me, but Prodigy discussion forums in early 90s. Helped me come out. Didn’t hurt that I also moved out of Utah, but I felt free in those discussions realizing I was absolutely not alone

I feel this way far too often. Usually means I am. Lol

Been writing SF #WIP for 2 decades. I’d say my 1st #amwriting are traditional SF. Only in last years have I made a MC gay. Only after I started feeling comfortable sharing my early experiences as a gay teen in a non-SF story.

I write best in a cafe. The background noise helps me focus, & don't have the distractions of home (husband, kids, dog). I write more in a coffee cafe in 1 hr than I do 4 at home

Experiences as gay man color other writings/characters. Protagonists w/ empathy for 'different', antagonists who are ignorant & thus hateful, "what-ifs"

They always ask if you could go back in time, what era would you go? People mention historical times, earth epoch or period, etc.

I want to go back to the period when Mars had running surface water. I want to see what it looked like, what was there! 🧪🔭 🪐📚
