I now see the delays on the SNCF, NMBS and DB websites. Also on the Eurostar website, but I suspect that's manual input or copied from SNCF, since it doesn't match with the actual delays as reported by NMBS and DB. IIRC the infrastructure managers share the data.

Bei dir gibt's in der Tat nichts zu schlichten. Bei vielen anderen aber schon. Die Pflichtreservierung will natürlich die SNCF, aber es ist die DB, die ziemlich gut verbirgt (und das auch weiß), dass eine normale Reservierung für Interrail nicht ausreicht.

Man kann hinterher immer zur Schlichtungsstelle Reise & Verkehr. In ähnlichen Fällen wurde schon mehrmals gegen die DB entschieden (ich weiß nicht, ob durch diese Schlichtungsstelle).

The reference to EU Regulation 2021/782 is also interesting. It applies to all trains, so why mention it for some and not for others?

The Rail Planner app can't book anything. It can only forward to some of the website where you can book, but in this case, it doesn't mention the best one: raileurope.com

I see the Milan-Paris by TGV in the Rail Planner app, e.g. today at 6:00, 12:10 and 16:10. They leave from Porta Garibaldi.

Incompleteness is one of the reasons one should never use the Rail Planner app to plan.

Passes not valid but you can use the TGV on the same route.

For €21 I'd pass anyway and score a cappu and a croissant elsewhere...

Basel SBB and Genève will soon be completely rebuilt (they've already started in Basel) and I doubt it will be easy after they're done.

I find it rather dishonest of ÖBB to list the discontinuation of the Berlin<>Brussels NJ under engineering works.

Eurostar had geen zin meer om te rijden toen de sporen weer werden vrijgegeven. Hebben ze wel je hotel betaald en je alternatieve terugreis?

They can decline a flight, but bus/coach/ferry/train is disputable if the next available Eurostar isn't the same day. Indeed hotels may be much more expensive, but then they didn't mention they have to cover this in the options mentioned to affected passengers, so relatively few people will claim.
