Pretty interesting that both the energy company and the government hide behind βcommercial in confidenceβ.
In confidence to who? The other party is happy to talk clearly so..

Designed to be dual fuel capable but no signs whatsoever of any hydrogen supply being available in the short to medium term..
The number of these that could be manufactured annually seems pretty low. A maximum of 30GW a year?
07.10.2025 05:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There is a 320MW gas turbine (A GE 9F) commissioned locally and Iβd really like to go see it..
Tallawarra B started construction in 2021 and was operational in 2024.
Iβd love to know how many hours of runtime it has had in its first year of operation..
I was reading an analysis of the gas turbine market which suggested a limited number of annual manufacturing slots and those being booked out for 5 years.. unless a significant premium was being paid - which just meant you were buying out someone else.
So 2029 may be slightly optimistic even!
Ah yes, the Hardie-Ferodo 1000 is upon us again..

Nope. They are expecting a large amount of additional generation to come online - largely paid for by people other than them..
And as they will write large contracts for consumption, they also become βlarge customersβ with the ability to negotiate pricing downwards..

Hang on, what does Parliament have to do with it constitutionally?
(In Australia anyway).
Didnβt the Greens make a big point about how they wanted to seek change to how the government (prime minister) doesnβt require parliaments permission (or even, consultation?) to βgo to warβ?
Tagging @davidosmond.bsky.social for interest.
Has anyone done this work to look at price elasticity in urban residential electricity demand in Australia?
What is the execution of βact to meet the common dangerβ according to constitutional practices likely to look like though..
