A Pharisees Flowchart It starts with the question "Should I call this person a Pharisee?" The only path to "Then it's probably safe," is "Did the person live in or before the first century CE? Yes," "Was the person actually a Pharisee? Yes," and "Are you using the word as an insult? No." All other paths end in "Then please don't call them a Pharisee."
