How do YOU live low waste?

How?
It's all about being mindful about your consumption habits

Shop for your hobby supplies secondhand, go out with friends to a restaurant that uses reusables or has vegan options, and things of that nature.

It's not one or the other!

You can live zero waste and still partake in your hobbies

You can live zero waste and still eat your favorite foods

You can live zero waste and still go out with friends

One thing I forgot to mention is to be intentional about using apps that rely solely on Al as their main form of technology/innovation 🌎💚

Al has a lot of meaningful purposes - these tips are mainly focused on being intentional about using it to avoid making it a crutch and using it mindlessly when we don't need to

what other tips do you have?

This is a reason I plant trees for every poem I publish - we exist in a circle where we breathe in what trees give and trees breathe in what we give. Trees also give shade on hot days and far more. What do you value about trees? 🌳

We can choose to be mindful of where we’re spending our money. We have more power than we think!

Pt. 1/2 Additionally, there are countless studies that show how more diverse teams drive innovation.

Also, that innovation is exactly what we need to solve the climate crisis.

DEI helps EVERYONE. That’s not my opinion. Multiple studies show that DEI initiatives lead to stronger leadership, better culture, working conditions, mental health initiatives, flexible policies and more! Cont'd ⬇️

ok but the toilet paper one really annoyed me lol, I’m on a subscription service and forgot to update my order since it’s coming way too frequently. i’m pretty much stocked up now for the apocalypse, so if anyone needs TP you know where to go!

I know these are just small actions, but it keeps me accountable and motivated when I highlight them. Feeling like I’m doing small things daily to take action makes being sustainable...well, more sustainable 😊

What are some tips that have helped you reduce consumption and impulse buys?

Pt.1 marketers are really good at making us feel inferior without their products, which are literally designed to disintegrate after a period of time to keep us buying more. we also live in a culture of “newness” - where the act of shopping and showing off new items is cool.

I'm the biggest outfit repeater 🙈
